Dental/Vision/Hearing Coverage
Original Medicare does not cover routine dental, vision, or hearing care. However, seniors have options to get coverage for these services:
- Purchase a private dental, vision, or hearing insurance plan. There are plans designed specifically for seniors that cover things like cleanings, exams, glasses, hearing aids. Costs vary widely based on the level of coverage.
- For low-income seniors, Medicaid may provide some dental, vision or hearing benefits depending on the state. Medicaid benefits vary widely by state.
New plans on the horizon!
Home Health Care Insurance
- Short-Term Home Health Care Insurance will pay a daily benefit for each day you receive a variety of home health care services.
- Benefits are paid directly to you to help cover deductibles and copayments, regardless of any other insurance you may have.
- Daily benefit amounts will vary by plan selected (maximum benefit period is 360 days). To qualify for benefits, a Licensed Health Care Practitioner must certify you as having a Cognitive Impairment or the inability to perform at least two (2) of six (6) Activities of Daily Living without substantial assistance (bathing, continence, dressing, eating, toileting and transferring).
International Travel Medical Insurance
Cancer/Heart Attack/Stroke (Cash payout to you)
- Even the best insurance plans don’t cover all costs associated with health conditions. Cancer, heart attack and stroke insurance covers these gaps by providing you with money to use to pay for everything from deductibles to daily living expenses.
- Cancer, heart attack and stroke insurance—sometimes called critical illness insurance—offers a financial payout to people with one of these health issues. This pays out a lump sum to the policyholder, who can use the money to pay for various expenses.
